Eric Holder is in line for nomination by President-elect Barack Obama to the attorney general's job that Holder has long wanted, but a 2001 episode with fugitive financier Marc Rich is stirring partisan acrimony.

I don't want to hear it. Everyone who complains about this is going to keep their mouths sealed shut when Bush issues some of his heinous pardons in the coming weeks and we all know it. Partisan? This complaining is just more GOP sour grapes.
It will be interesting to see who Bush pardons. Anyone have a bets on his short list?
But onto Eric Holder. Its a scary appointment. The article doesn't get to far into Marc Rich's dealing. Its too long to get into here. Google him and read a little about him. He didn't deserve the pardon he got that Holder facilitated. Holder even admits that. Scarier though is Holder work on behalf of the FALN. He took it upon himself to obtain pardons for FALN members, who didn't even seek pardons. That should make one wonder who runs Holder from behind the scenes.
Why is Israel's prime minister interferring in America's business?? They need to keep their nose out of America they have already caused enough problems for America!!! Why would Clinton pardon someone who had cheated America out of taxes yet made a lot of money off of this country?? Maybe because he gave a lot of money to the whores in Washington D.C. then ran off to Israel!!! We should have a limit on how many people a president can pardon!!! He should NOT be allowed to pardon anyone who has given money to him or his party!!!! Nor should a president pardon an aide who gave out the name of a CIA agent or his vice president!!!! Washington D.C. is totally corrupt and politicians are nothing but low class but high paid prostitutes!!! We need laws to severly punish politicians who violate the public trust!! They should be tried by the people not fellow politicians!!
Holder would make a great AG. This situation has been vetted serveral times and he was confirmed for those jobs. At this point it is a non issue. Next!
WooHoo! Looks like an Obama presidency is going to be very hard to distinguish from any other in recent memory. Did I hear NO-CHANGE????
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice.... oh hell can 63 million people be fooled with a smile and a promise? YOU BETCHYA!!!!
In case the bozos at the GOP national headquarters have failed to notice, the country is in dire straights. This is not the time to waste energy on partisan politics.
I voted for McCain, but I accept the fact that Obama won. Soon enough his true believers will turn on him, so why don't the GOP bozo true believers just let go.
It is obvious the GOP needs an overhaul. It is time to move the bozos out and let sensible people take over else we'll become a one party country.
There is nothing worse than having true believers in charge. They are almost always out of touch with reality. My biggest concern and reason for not voting for Obama was the true believers of his campaign. It was good news that Obama as president elect is far far better than Obama the candidate as promoted by his true believers. Obama is making sensible moves to help the country. Too bad the GOP headquarters bozoz and soon enough the Obama campaign true believers will not accept this and help "get'er done"!
What's the matter Paul? You don't want to hear it. Of course not. Who in their right mind would want to hear that their messiah is dipping into the corruption pool to find the right lawman for the USA? Even if Holder is pure as the driven snow, there is an appearance of inpropriety and a smell to this that even you can't deny. When Bush does his pardons, I will gladly join with you in renouncing those deemed to be inappropriate. But don't expect anyone with a brain to not see this for what it is. It stinks to high heaven or wherever your imagination wants to take it. this is not a good call, and if you think it is, then you, my friend are just as guilty of the partisan BS that you accuse everyone else of. Sorry, you didn't want to hear that either. No sour grapes here either. Your man won, I wish him the best and hope he does a great job. God(figment of our imagination)knows we need someone to do something right for a change. Surely there was someone else with less smell about them that could do the job. sorry man, it justs stinks.
donn; I agree with you. We have had enough tainted politicians, even a question of impropriety is suspect. Washington already has enough mud to raise rhinos.
It's not partisan to question, it's every Americans right and obligation. It displays partisanship to object to that right.

It has been vetted before. It passed the smell test then. What's wrong now?
It doesn't make sense to judge Holder only on the Rich pardon. I'd like to hear more about him and his qualifications.
Then google him. Look into Holder and the FALN.
So much for change. Is this guy going to pick anyone for his administration that hasn't work for Clinton or has been part of the "Washington Problem" he ranted and raved against. For someone who ran his mouth for two years about looking ahead and change he sure is taking a long time looking back. I noticed that during the Democratic primaries everything that came out of his mouth was "I will do this" and "I will do that" then as the election got closer it was "We will do this" and "With your help we will do that". No more "I's" just alot of "We's". Alot of people are going to be disappointed with this guy. Two to one the media will turn against him by this time next year.
