Do you realize that this man and other African American cellabs took over Ford Motor International which the Vatican owned the majority shares. These African Americans refused to give up their shares and their family members were murdered. Did you know that OJ owned the majority of these shares and his life and the life of his children were at stack. Yes he knew who killed his x wife and her friend. Go to Google and type in Ford Mortor and the Vatican.

Phil Spector and Robert Blake....My point exactly, the same obsession simply does not exist.

Very simple question to answer.  For the same reason that hundreds of whites killed by blacks, and hundreds of blacks killed by whites, did not receive the same amount of publicity as OJ generated. 

He was a celebrity already in the limelight.  Just a few days before his arrest even, he was already in the paper.  Similar to when Brittany Spears was in the paper practically every day for a while when she flipped out and shaved her head, OJ was in the spotlight at the time as a rising actor, an alcoholic, and for the multiple times the police were called to his home on accusations of beating up women.  He was already in the tabloids, he was in the papers, he was on the news, you could see his face in the movie theatre....he was a celebrity with all eyes on him.  And during that time, he was arrested on accusations of murder.  Do you really think that someone in the paper consistently, someone known and popular throughout the country, would receive only the same amount of attention as any other person accused of a crime?  If Paris Hilton killed someone today, white or black, the trial would receive even more attention than the OJ trial.  You forget that the people who were for OJ gave it the same attention as people against him.  They failed to show similar outrage or support towards Spector and Blake.  That alone provides ample proof that it was his celebrity status that created the media circus, the race card only being pulled after the attention had already begun.

Robert Blake and Phil Specter didn't get all day coverage for weeks on every network. It was a lot easier to follow the Simpson trial because it got just that. It's a whole lot easier to develop an opinion on something that you feel informed about. Just ask anyone you know that knows the details of the Blake and Specter cases, they'll have an opinion that most likely is guilty.

It's the same case for that arrogant cop whose wife disappeared. There's plenty of outrage, but like Beckwolf asserts, without the media keeping it at the forefront, people just don't make a lot of noise about it.

That's easy. It's because they were white.

You have my sympathy. What a burden it must be to feel persecuted your whole life. Everyone out to get you for no reason at all, just their own racist hatred being directed towards you.  I know that everytime anything bad happens to me I find solace in the fact that I'm part Ottawa even though it's not apparent to everyone. Gene, what does ancestory have to do with anything?  So what if you believe mankind began in Africa.  You may want to take a look at Egypt and other areas around the world.  What point are you trying to make, and how does it apply to society today?  I am by no means a racist, just a realist.  Unfortunately, racism has always been here and always will.  You seem to have a big affinity for it.

To answer your question, Jack23, it is not my belief, it is scientific proof that mankind began in Africa. Secondly, your comment below is why I classify you as a racist:

Actually, not trying to get into an argument here, but there is no scientific data to suggest beyond doubt that man came from Africa.  Scientists, for a time, believed that humans originated from Africa because early primates there evolved into anthropoids.  However, older primates have been found throughout parts of Asia, but they do not appear to have evolved as quickly and thus may never have evolved into man.  However, some of the youngest fossils found to date have been found in Pakistan, as well as India, which new evidence shows could have evolved into anthropoids as well.  All that we have right now are speculations on where man started from.  The three most popular theories are Africa, Asia, and India (only recently added to the list due to new findings), but it's nothing more than speculation.  Sorry, but there is no scientific proof on that one, you can look it up for yourself.  Not that it really means anything to anyone other that paleantologists doing evolutionary studies (my fiance is studying as a paleantologist out in Tennessee), our origins just answering a natural curiosity but not providing reasons for who we are today.  Right now, it is just your belief that we originated in Africe, not scientific proof.  Asia, East Africa (the theory is that we originated in the far central East side of Africa), Pakistan, India...all valid and just as easily supported as the next.

Yeah and he really cut his hand on his trip the next day.  And the limosine driver did not see him scurrying across the yard, and he really was in his back yard, in the dark hitting golf balls, and the police somehow got his blood and put it in his car as well, and the rare shoes that he wears did not really leave those shoe prints in the blood, and he wasn't in the Ford with his buddy with a disguise and a ton of cash, and and and.  Please.

I am not bitter at all.  It just amazes me after the world saw most of the evidence how they could possibly come to any other conclusion.  It is almost like someone trying to convince you that 1 plus 1 does not equal 2.  How many ways can it be spun before you just get sick of hearing people trying to find ways to make you believe something that is not true.

roseinwinter, The term African-American is used by some because if you look up the term "black" in the dictionary it is always associated with negativity and evil.  My question to you is, why should anyone care that some Africa-American chose to label themselves as such? No one should be offended by that.

They're not, to be African American you must have obtained citizenship in Africa before moving to America.  One of my best friends (we attempted to start a business together with his brother in Kenya, which unfortunately didn't last) is an African American, now living in Texas.  The biggest complaint he and his family have about this country...is simply that there are so many people falsely calling themselves African Americans.  Black American, white American, if you're born in America no other nation should be placed in front.  If a black American is to be called African American, then it would make the most sense for me to be called by where my ancestors are from as well.  Guess that makes me a German English Irish Scottish Japanese Welsh African American.  All the same, I'll stick to calling myself a first generation American who happens to be white (mostly white at least).

It does not matter to me what you choose to call yourself.  It is your choice.  So why should it matter to you what I call myself?  Who defines that?  I can call myself African-American and sometimes if I don't feel like typing it out I call myself black even though I prefer not to use that classification. So what?  I don't get it?  That does not make me less patriotic than you.
