This is insane! Can't anyone step in? He's clearly a sociopath praying on younger women - and isn't he technically married?

Personally, I hope his teenage sons from wife #3 take action one day.

What is truly sad here is that the police dept. in this case and almost every case like it fail to solve these crimes. They are responsible for this guy running free.....

Oh, can you say creepy???  I think any woman, knowing that Stacy Peterson is missing, if she still wants to marry this creep, well, I could only excuse her as having had a lobotomy....

Creepy, totally creepy!  And I am with you--she may very well become victim #5...

Bet you money she is doing it to get the story and catch him...bet she is playing along to love him and marry him to really find out what happened...if she works for a news station...put 2 and 2 together.......Be careful Mr. Peterson...someone is playing you at your own game.....

That's the first thing that came to my mind, either she is a police plant, or someone playing him to get the truth out of him. Then again, she could just be nuts. I can't even fathom what a 23 year old woman sees in a man 30 years older, who looks 50 years older, with four kids, who is neither attractive or rich, plus he has a creepy personality to boot. That's not even taking into account he is a suspect in the death of two of his four wives.

I would almost bet that this woman is from another country. And like others have said unless he divorces her, how can he marry again? If she isn't from another country, then she has to be STUPID!!!

I thouhjt the police suspected he got rid of wife 3 after he may have told her he did away with wife #2.  Or 4-3 whichever.  This is like crack heads. I have no sorrow for them because everyone should know that it is dangerous to use with all the publicity surrounding it. This woman whoever she is fits into the same category.

YHS:  As I stated--they must all get lobotomized.

As for the coffins: I imagine he must have some sort deal with the local mortuary:  "Get 30% off your wife's coffin by bundling your wedding/funeral with us."  Oh, even the thought is tasteless--but what else would anyone with a working brain think?

Okay I gave this some thought last night and came up with my top 3 reasons why I think she would do this.  None of them are worth the risk she is taking mind you but some consider themselves the "creme of the crop"  so maybe she has a knack for working miracles with criminal deviates and she is in search of a new challenge.  Here are my 3 explanations.

      1) Young, Stupid, He loves me, I can change him, and he would never do that to me.

      2) Has been abused in the past or neglected in some sense and in need of a father figure.

      3) Doing some type of serious drugs, homeless, and feels it is worth taking the risk just to have the basics in life.

Either way, whatever her reason or logic and no matter that she is either too stupid or naive, or desperate enough to do this.  I really pray this time next year or a few years later I'm not reading about her murder or disappearance. God be with this young lady!

Just maybe she's a jewel of a woman!? One that doesn't read, watch TV, listen to radio or go out of her home. Her only company have been the imaginary pets and friends and THEN Drew sought her out...she's the only kind of woman who could irrationally think that he's the one. I never thought anyone would be dumb enough to marry this @$$ after all of what has happened. 3 marriages with 1 claiming abuse, 1 dead, and 1 missing/presumed dead? Thats saying A WHOLE LOT of the type of guy he is. If his new fiancee winds up dead or missing like the other 2 previous wives, I really don't wanna hear it on the news.

Stupid question perhaps....but can he legally remarry when he's still married to Stacy who is "still alive" based on his own assumption that she ran off with another man?  Not that I have much doubt that he killed Stacy or Kathleen, I'm just sayin'...

Next question.....what dumba$$ moron would marry anyone who is even suspected of killing anybody, let alone his own wife (wives)?  AND the fact that he's more than twice her age is just gross.  Of course this is just my opinion, but I can't see how any woman, no matter how young, old or stupid could find him remotely attractive.  Blech.

Doesn't this sound like a man who thinks his wife is still alive and with another man? It sounds like a man who is absolutely sure that wifey #4 won't be back to spoil his little plans. Now how could he be sure of that unless he saw to it himself that she would no longer be a problem?

He is is one cool character. Exactly what does he get out of all this? Does he get the insurance money or does he do it just for the thrill? This new woman must have been living under a rock to not know her days are numbered if she married this sociopath!

There was an article some time ago that discussed how Peterson was very controlling.  As long as the wives stayed under his thumb, apparently everything was peachy.  It's when they start exhibiting some independence that things go south.  Wife #3 was in the process of divorcing him; wife #4 had talked with friends about her plan to get a divorce.  I think the big tuff Peterson just can't take rejection.

That question was my first: If you"claim" that your wife is with another man, missing, never to reach out to her children-has he already divorced her? He can't legally declare her dead yet and he's already hooking up with a youngster (23)? Getouttatown!!!! Drew is a slob, old, tired looking murderer. He's an ugly man-inside and out! And whoever this woman, I think her family needs to commit her into a medical facility, cause something has got to be "loose"- you know, insane in the membrane!! To top it all off, he has a PUBICIST?! He is a sleaze- yuk!!!

watch what you say ... my husband is 20 yrs older (we married when I was 29, so "eyes wide open" on that day and since) ... not every one wants to marry young muscles with no sense of self

this is not to say that this suspected killer is an appropriate match for any mate

23 yrs is so young, may she find strength to be herself in that relationship

In regards to the post above about his divorce or still married to the 4th wife who is currently missing.  This morning on the news they said he would either have to prove abandonment on her part or prove she's dead.

What will be interesting is if now by some miracle chance evidence comes forth to support his claims.

I can tell you all right now, he has told his next victim, and she is, " I'll never do to you what I did to my first, second, third wife" then he will.  He will beat her then deny it, he will deny it to himself and to her. I am going through it right now. An abuser/murderer will never change and will always deny or justify himself.

          Salem,

Please please get help right now for your situation.  I know you are scared that you can't do this and make a clean break but you can.

I divorced my husband after 19 years because of alcohol addiction and the fact that he thought he could talk to me any kind of way, beat my children unnecessarily and then got to the point where he was starting to try and get physical with me.  Over the years I whipped his ass several times and then called the police myself.  The last time we had a fight he threatened me to the point that I pulled my security out which is a 357 magnum and threatened to unload the chamber. I have always had the philosophy "don't pull a gun unless your gonna use it", fortunately for me he backed down and I didn't have to.  I realized then that if I didn't divorce him either myself or my children stood the risk of getting hurt.

We have been divorced for 3 years, I and my children are happier than we have been in a long time.  Not living in fear and finally knowing peace in our lives means everything.  Please, I don't want you to be a topic of discussion here on the vine due to some tragedy that could have been avoided.

I guess we'll all find out who she is when her picture and name show up on the nightly news as a missing person.  Her privacy won't be quite so important then.

Not all abused women are stupid. This one may be, considering the mans background, but there are many women in abusive situations that have good educations, and to an outsider seem quite acomplished.  An abuser can be very normal at first, and when they think they have their hooks in you they start the crap.  How anyone couldfind this ugly old man attractive is beyond me, though.

Salem, you are so right. And as you probably also know, abusers are the most manipulative people in the world. Even if this woman is intelligent, he will be the prince of her dreams and blame all his problems on the media. He will have her head so spun around, she couldn't possibly believe all the terrible accusations against him--until they are married and he isolates her from all family and friends. He will begin with mental and emotional abuse until her self esteem takes such a dive she will continue to make excuses for him after he starts physically abusing her. I know from experience, this will happen to her after she is in his grip long enough, and by that time it will be too late for her to break away from him.

I don't know if stupid is the right word. This happens time and time again. Remember the woman who married one of the Menendez brothers? What about the women who marry death row inmates.

This seems to be a group of women with no self-esteem that are desperately in need of therapy.

Hello.....why wouldn't this girls parents step in and stop this foolish behavior?  She's also at fault here for thinking "it's all gonna be good".  I feel sorry for the little kids of Stacy who will never know what really happened to their Mom.  This man needs major help.

If she even has parents, maybe they're part of the reason she can't wait to run off with the first guy that'll marry her & promise her the moon (and maybe let her live 'til she's 25)?  Besides, she's 23, they can't do anything to stop her.

Why do women marry men in prison??? Why did  (pardon the expression) OJ have a new girlfriend?  These women are some sort of anomaly.  They all need psychiatric help.  Perhaps they have the underlying need to reform someone.  I don't know.  But I surely would love to hear what a psychiatrist has to say.

I think the word for these women are "starf*ckers"...they love the publicity and attention, even if it's negative. I'm guessing that women like this think that they are the ones that can "save" him ('cause he's so misunderstood) and will turn his life around, and be the one true love of his life, blah, blah, blah......

Many women who would ignore the past of a man like Peterson are likely to have very low self-esteem and so it's easy for a smooth talking, manipulator, especially an older one, to say all the right things and be all the right things, as long as it takes to "hook the fish".  However, they can't maintain this facade, which is why they usually marry quickly, and when it unravels, the poor unsuspecting woman ends up being the victim.  Narcissistic personalities, which I believe Peterson is, are very charming, convincing, and always have an answer for everything.  It is very telling, however, that his "victims" are usually many years younger than he is, without the life experience to read between the lines, understand the inconsistencies, and spot the fraud, until it's too late.

Maybe he's doing us a favor.  If some woman would marry a freak with a history as bad as his, then maybe she does deserve to be removed from the gene pool.

I agree, but I'd like this murderer to be removed from the gene pool as well, he should never be allowed to reproduce again.  I wonder what his children think of him, they must be embarrassed to say the least.

I am 65 years old and have always said "any man I can take away from his wife, there's a chick down the road that can take him away from me".  I guess I am "old school".

But, this goes above and beyond that...this kid is nuts.

that's not old school, I'm only 43.  It's common sense.  But if you watch those talk shows (Jerry Springer comes to mind), they're always fighting over somebody that's not worth the air it takes to argue over them.  My theory is this, "Men/women come a dime a dozen, I've got a couple of dollars".  My man knows, I'm not the one to fight over a man.  I figure if he was loyal to me, this other person wouldn't have anything to beef with me about.  If he's not loyal, hit the bricks.

Just when you thought people couldn't get any dumber, someone goes and marries a murderer.  Talk about desperate! What type of murder will she choose for herself? Drowning in the tub like wife #3 or disappearing from the face of the earth like wife #4?
